Day 01 - Chennai (17 Kms / 40 Min drive )
Arrive at Chennai and check-into your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Chennai city, where you can visit the Santhome Cathedral, Birla Planetarium, Elliot Beach, Valluvar Kottam, National Art and Government Museum, Anna Zoological Park, Kalakshetra and the Theosophical Society. Overnight stay at The Leela Palace – Sea View Room.
Day 02 - Mahabalipuram (60 Kms / 2 Hrs drive)
Drive to Mahabalipuram, the world heritage site famous for the monolith temples dating back to centuries. In the afternoon sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram visiting shore temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach. Overnight stay at Taj Fisherman Cove – Superior Charm Room.
Day 03 - Pondicherry (100 Kms / 2.5 Hrs drive)
Morning drive to Pondicherry, covers an area of 480 sq.km. consisting of the four coastal regions of Pondicherry, Karakkal, Yanam and Mahe. These where former French possessions situated on the eastern coast.. Visit:- Sree Aurobindo Ashram- The world famous Sree Aurobindo Ashram is situated here. Raj Nivas- The official residence of the Lieutenant Governor, now known as Raj Nivas, is a true specimen of the fusion of Indian and French cultures. The main building is 200 years old. The interiors, the sitting rooms and the enclosing galleries have wooden furnishings which have a French base with Indian syle caving. Over night at Lepondy – Lake View Room
Day 04 - Trichy (200 Kms /4.5 Hrs drive)
Morning drive to Trichy, Trichy is situated on the bank of the river Kauvery. The city was a Chola citadel from the Sangam age.
Visit:- Rock Fort Temple- The Rock Fort Temple is in the centre of the city and is a prominent land mark. It is 83 metre high and can be reached by climbing 437 steps cut into a tunnel through the rock. The Rock fort Temple is situated 5 Km. away from Trichy Town. Stay Overnight at Sangam Hotel – Standard Room.
Day 05 - Madurai (150 Kms/ 3 Hrs drive)
Drive to Madurai in Tamilnadu, one of South India’s greatest temple towns. Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era which is more than 2500 years old. In the evening, visit the Meenakshi Temple to attend the popular evening ceremony where the Hindu God Siva is taken in a palanquin. Overnight at Taj Gateway Hotel – Superior Room.
Day 06 - Madurai
Go on a sightseeing tour of Madurai to explore the many fascinating temples and structures of this city. Visit the famous Meenakshi temple. The 1000-pillared hall depicts beautiful sculptures showcasing stories from ancient Hindu Epics. You could also visit other places of interest such as the Palace of King Thirumalai Nayak, built in 1636 in an indo-saracenic style. Overnight at Taj Gateway Hotel – Superior Room.
Day 07 - Periyar ( 160 Kms / 4 Hrs drive)
After breakfast continue to Periyar, South India’s most popular wild life sanctuary, its home to bison, wild elephant, boar, languor, the great Indian tiger and more. On arrival check in to the Hotel. Afternoon you can go for boat cruise in the Lake to watch wild animals. Overnight at Greenwoods – Aranya Room.
Day 08 - Periyar
Today morning you can go to see the rare species of plantations and animals. Afternoon visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc… On way back to Hotel you could stop the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay at Greenwoods – Aranya Room.
Day 09 - Kumarakom (140 Kms / 4 Hrs drive)
Drive to Kumarakom, the enchanting backwater region of Kerala and check into your hotel. The labyrinthine network of rivers, canals, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer stunning views and is an ideal place to relax. Day at leisure. Overnight at the Vivanta By Taj Kumarakom – Superior Regular Room.
Day 10 - House Boat
12 Noon embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it’s the life along the coast that adds an exotic touch of to this experience.
The locals travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places, enroute. Overnight on board-Premium Boat. (Full Board)
Day 11- Kumarakom ( 40 Kms / 1 Hr drive)
Morning after breakfast checkout at Alleppey and then proceed to a beautiful homestead by the lake (Philipkutty’s Farm House). The labyrinthine network of rivers, canals, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer stunning views and is an ideal place to relax. Day at leisure. Overnight at the Philipkutty’s Farm House.
Day 12 - Cochin (80 Kms / 2 Hrs drive)
Morning after breakfast Proceed to Cochin. On arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon you can go for the sightseeing of Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace; built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Evening go for shopping. Overnight at Vivanta By Taj Malabar -Superior Charm Regular Room.

Day 13- Departure (35 Kms / 1 Hrs drive)
Departure Transfer to Cochin Airport for onward journey.
